Most critics agree that it has to do with Bono's views of being a rock star in the post-JT days. ("Rattle and Stumble", the movie-- What are we gonna do now it's all been said/ No new ideas in the house and every book has been read?) Bono himself says it's in keeping with the theme of Achtung Baby-- that is, how do you go out and taste and touch and feel as much as a man can before he repents, and then come back and sleep with your wife and play with your kids and pretend it all never happened? How do you put your relationships back together?
